Thanks Angie, I have read the introduction, and found it in very informative, this is my first Ignatius Bible Study with the Scott Hahn study guide. It’s quite interesting and I’m impressed at the depth it goes into… In Chapter 1;15, I was surprised how Paul wasn’t too concerned, about whether others were teaching Christ, from envy, or sincerely, ‘good will’ . his reasoning ,,,, Christ is proclaimed, and he rejoices in that fact.. And again, in v21 How Paul accepts Life or Death, equally, even peacefully, seeing both as gain… seeking only God’s will. Now that takes some spirtual growth, to reach that point. Also, I have always felt, if Paul hadn’t been imprisoned … he might not have had time to write all these letters. this certainly has been our gain.. well tomorrow I’ll start on Ch 2.. . .
