Including this week, we only have four weeks remaining in our study of First Samuel. Then, we will take two weeks off and start up our study of Second Samuel on January 6th.

Thank you, Father, for having created us and given us to each other in the human family. Thank you for being with us in all our joys and sorrows, for your comfort in our sadness, your companionship in our loneliness. Thank you for yesterday, today, tomorrow and for the whole of our lives. Thank you for friends, for health and for grace. May we live this and every day conscious of all that has been given to us.

Thanksgiving Prayer:

Father in Heaven, Creator of all and source of all goodness and love, please look kindly upon us and receive our heartfelt gratitude in this time of giving thanks.

Thank you for all the graces and blessings You have bestowed upon us, spiritual and temporal: our faith and religious heritage, our food and shelter, our health, the loves we have for one another, our family and friends.

Dear Father, in Your infinite generosity, please grant us continued graces and blessing throughout the coming year.

This we ask in the Name of Jesus, Your Son and our Brother. Amen.

We are now about a third of the way through our current study of 1st and 2nd Samuel. For this week, please study and discuss 1 Samuel 18 and 19.

This week, we are moving on to chapters 6 and 7. While looking over the study questions, I see at least a few places where I cannot wait to read your answers, especially since I’m not sure that I am answering them correctly.  So, lets continue to help one another. . .
